PROTECTED AREA MANAGEMENT FIELD TRIP FOR F.R.E.S.H & THE FRASER’S HILL LOCAL COMMUNITY
OBJECTIVES of the field trip:
- To highlight to the participants on what is a Protected Area.
- To focus on the need of Fraser’s Hill declared as a protected area.
- To provide some information on hands-on basis to the participants on how the respective government agencies manage a protected area.
- To observe & learn how the local communities in a protected area benefit from eco-tourism both economically and socially.
- To foster a better relationship between the respective government agencies and the local communities in Kuala Tahan and Fraser’s Hill.
1st to 3rd July 2007
Cost: Only RM150.00 per person.
Cost includes: Accommodation, Transportation, 2 Breakfast, 2 Lunch, 1 Dinner, all activities by tour guides, boat rental and permit to Taman Negara.
Does not include camera licence (RM5) & fishing licence (RM10)
Open to all FRESH members & the local community of Fraser’s Hill. Places on the bus are limited, first 40 people with full payment will be confirmed participants.

- Canopy Walkway, Terisek Hill & Jungle Trekking
1.00 pm Lunch at Floating Restaurant
2.00 pm Visit & experience the eco-tourism facilities:-
- Lata Berkoh & Kelah Fish Sanctuary
5.00 pm Rest & Relax
7.00 pm Dinner at Floating Restaurant
8.00 pm Slide Show by DWNP and Dialogue session with DWNP
